Day 1
Welcome to Tokyo! You will meet your fellow travelers, get settled in at the hotel, and set off for a walk through the city to your welcome dinner (included)

Day 2
Take the morning to relax and sleep in if needed. Before lunch, we will head to a great second-hand and vintage clothing neighborhood where you can walk around and explore all the great fashion of Japan. That evening we will have a group dinner (included)

Day 3
We will meet our local guide this morning and visit the Naritasan Fukagawa Fudodo temple. One of the most strikingly contradictory temples to be found in Tokyo, Fukagawa Fudo-do Temple in Koto City is a neighborhood temple famous not only for its like clockwork Goma fire ritual but also for its radical sense of the modern. You can explore the grounds and watch a fire ritual. Afterward, you have the afternoon to go explore the city. That evening we will have a group dinner (included)

Day 4
Today we will set out with our local guide once more to go explore Asakusa Hotarudo, a vintage area with local artisans and merchants. Afterward a walk through the old traditional artistic renovated neighborhood of Kyojima. Group dinner that evening (included)

Day 5
We will visit, with our local guide, the Nezu Museum, an art museum in the Minato district of Tokyo, Japan. The museum is home to the private collection of pre-modern Japanese and East Asian art. From there we will head to the famous Shibuya Crossing where we will get a view of the whole city from the top of the magnet building. After, we’ll take a walk through Yoyogi Park to enjoy some of Japan’s beautiful plant life.

Day 6
Today is a free day for you to go and explore anything you have on your list of must-sees in Tokyo. Anyone is welcome to join me in getting a tattoo on this day (tattoos not included) That evening we will all meet up for drinks in the area of Golden Gai. It is composed of a network of six narrow allyes connected by even narrower passageways which are about wide enough for a single person to pass through. Over 200 tiny shanty-style bars, clubs and eateries are squeezed into this area. (drinks not included)

Day 7
This morning we head to my favorite flea market (closed if it’s raining but we’ll find an alternative if so) where you will find the absolute best deals on clothing and small items for the home. You will have the afternoon free to explore and that evening we will meet up for our farewell dinner (included) …and maybe karaoke!

Day 8
Departure day. Time to say goodbye to everyone and head back home, or continue to explore more of Japan on your own!
